After breakfast in Ha Giang City, our journey begins as we head north toward the Dong Van Karst Plateau. First, we ascend the winding Bac Sum Pass, where panoramic views of the lush valleys below greet us at every turn.
Reaching the Quan Ba Heaven Gate, we take a short break to admire the impressive landscape, followed by a stop at the picturesque Twin Mountains (Fairy Bosom) – a natural symbol of Quan Ba.
We then continue to Lung Khuy Cave, the most stunning karst cave in Ha Giang, where a short trek rewards you with impressive stalactite formations.
After lunch, we pass through the charming town of Yen Minh, then conquer the legendary Tham Ma Pass, a thrilling route once used to test the strength of horses.
Our final stop for the day is the Palace of the Vuong Family (Hmong King’s Palace) – an architectural marvel rich in ethnic history and culture. We arrive in Dong Van Town in the late afternoon, where you’ll stay overnight at a cozy homestay/ hotel.

After an early breakfast in Dong Van, we begin the day with a thrilling ride through the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass – one of the most spectacular mountain passes in Vietnam. The winding road hugs steep limestone cliffs, offering unforgettable views over the Nho Que River gorge and the rocky plateau below.
We then descend into the charming valley town of Meo Vac, where we stop for a short break before continuing along the famous M-Shaped Road, a stunning series of sharp turns that showcase the raw beauty of the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Our route leads us deeper into remote regions, passing through Mau Due, Duong Thuong, and Thai An – tranquil Hmong and Dao villages surrounded by terraced fields and jagged mountain peaks. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos, meet locals, and witness scenes of everyday life in the highlands.
In the afternoon, we return to Ha Giang City, where a private car will be waiting to transfer you back to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi is expected around 9:30–10:00 PM.
