This 3-day motorbike tour to Ha Giang will exceed your expectations and bring you to the most unexplored region of Vietnam. You will have many stops en route to learn about local villages as well appreciating the extraordinary landscapes that this mountainous province has to offer. This tour includes accommodation in a homestay as well as an expert guide, meals, transport and more.

🚌 Pre-Travel Day: Hanoi → Ha Giang

At 3.30pm/ 7:30 p.m, the bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi (or Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Ha Long, Cao Bang if requested) for the overnight bus or limousine to Ha Giang.
You will arrive early the next morning and rest at our partner hostel in Ha Giang (free dorm bed before the tour starts).

Itinerary

The 3-Day Ha Giang Motorbike Loop Tour (Self-Riding) is thoughtfully designed to provide a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Each day offers a new chapter of discovery – from breathtaking landscapes to immersive local experiences. Follow the itinerary below to see what awaits you on this unforgettable journey.

Attractions: Minh Tan village ➔ Bac Sum slope ➔ Quan Ba Heaven Gate ➔ Twin Mountains ➔ Lung Khuy Cave ➔ Lonely Tree ➔ Yen Minh town ➔ Tham Ma slope ➔ Nine Sloping Slope ➔ Pao's House ➔ Hmong King’s Palace ➔ Dong Van town

After receiving your motorbike and gear, we start our ride from Ha Giang City at 8:00 AM. Ride through scenic mountain passes and traditional villages like Minh Tan and Bac Sum slope. Stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate and admire the Twin Mountains and panoramic views of the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Continue to Lung Khuy Cave before reaching Yen Minh for lunch. In the afternoon, we ride through epic passes like Tham Ma and Nine Circle Slope, visit Pao’s House and the historic Hmong King Palace. Arrive at Dong Van town in the evening.
Overnight in Dong Van.

Attractions: Lung Cu Flag Tower ➔ Northernmost Point of Vietnam ➔ Ma Pi Leng Pass ➔ Nho Que River ➔ Tu San Canyon ➔ Meo Vac town

After breakfast, ride to the Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam with breathtaking border views. Return to Dong Van and conquer the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most majestic roads in the country.
Then hike or ride down to the Nho Que River to enjoy a boat trip through Tu San Canyon – the deepest in Southeast Asia.
(Optional: For those who prefer, you can instead spend 2.5 hours trekking on the Sky Path – a trail carved into the side of the canyon).
Dinner and overnight at a local homestay in Meo Vac.

Attractions: M-shaped Road ➔ Mau Due ➔ Du Gia village & waterfall ➔ Minh Ngoc village ➔ Ha Giang City

Depart from Meo Vac in the morning. Ride the scenic M-shaped Road toward Mau Due and Lung Ho. Stop for lunch and a short rest in Du Gia village, where you can visit the local waterfall and interact with ethnic villagers.
Continue through Minh Ngoc on the final stretch back to Ha Giang City.
Tour ends around 6:00 PM.
You can take a shower and rest before boarding the overnight bus back to Hanoi.
